Week 15

15 weeks?!! It seriously blows my mind how fast time goes! You get cuter by the day (I don't know how you do it!) and I love you more and more! Your little personality is out of this world cute! When you talk to me, your little face shows so much expression that it looks like you are really telling me stories!

The other night after I fed you, you laid on my shoulder and stared into my eyes for minutes and I did not want that moment to end! I started to tear up just thinking how much I'm going to miss that when you get older!

I have been trying hard to get you to giggle this week and I know it's right around the corner. You just grunt when I tickle you now but I know one of these times I'm going to get a giggle :)

You have been taking naps through the day in your crib but I'm not ready to cut the cord and have you sleep in there all night yet! For some reason, it's so comforting knowing I have you right next to me. Call me weird?!

You love your jumperoo! You don't play with the toys yet but you just sit and chill in it and watch cartoons! It's pretty darn cute ;)

She is actually watching Friends here, never too young to start her on some Friends :)

You are my pride and joy Miss Keigan! Momma loves you more than anything! Xoxo

All Keigan Wants for Christmas

I have always loved the holidays but having a child to start traditions with makes it SO much better! If you asked my husband, he would tell you that I'm going a little overboard but she will only have her first Christmas once, so we better make it memorable! I'll make sure I take lots of pictures and videos for her to look back on :)

Shopping for babies is oh so fun! I started shopping wayyy to early because I can't seem to stop buying for her! Here is a little taste of what will be waiting for her Christmas morning!

VTech Rolling Ball Vulli Pink Teether Fisher Price Drums
Owl Bath Toy Holder Piggy Paint Bath Toys
Olivia and the Fairy Princesses Aden and Anais Security Blanket

I am already getting together our Christmas morning breakfast menu! I wish Keigan was able to join in on the breakfast buffet I will have goin on but she can feast on some milk and maybe even cereal by then?!

Our house is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I'm loving every second of it! We even jam to some Christmas tunes during playtime to get into the holiday spirit even more :) If my daughter doesn't grow up loving the holidays, something is wrong!

Here are couple of the Christmas pictures, I'm so in love!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Keigan's first Thanksgiving was a success! We woke up just in time to cuddle up on the couch for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I baked chocolate chip muffins and sipped on mimosas, which were heavenly! We had a pretty relaxing morning, which was nice since we had one, two three dinners to go to!

We started off with a lunch at Dave's mom's house at 12:00. It was delicious! I'm not a huge turkey fan, so they were so sweet to cook a piece of chicken for me!

Then we stopped at our house to play with Sadie for a bit before we headed to our other two dinners. We then went to Dave's grandparent's for round 2 at 4:00. It was so nice to visit with them, Keigan was getting all kinds of lovin'!

Last but not least, we had my grandparent's dinner at 5:00. We were so stuffed by then but we still had to get in a small plate, my grandma's homemade noodles are to die for! My grandma cooks for 20 people and does one hell of a job!

We were all so exhausted at the end of the day that we passed out by 9:30.

I'm not a crazy Black Friday shopper and I especially didn't want to go around the crazies with a 3 month old. Instead, I went online and scoped out some deals for Cyber Monday ;) When Dave got home from work, we got out the Christmas decorations and started to deck the halls with Elf playing and sipping some bubbly. We finished up decorating Saturday and my parents, sister and her boyfriend came over to watch Home Alone. Perfect evening :)

Today we had Keigan's Christmas pictures taken by my BFF! She does such amazing work. Keigan looked adorable and was loving all of the attention she was getting! She will grow up loving the camera, as much as I have it in her face ;)

Here are a couple behind the scene pics of her first Christmas shoot :)

We had such a fun first Thanksgiving weekend with our little turkey!

Yep, I'm doing Insanity. They should have called it "Pure Hell", that would be more realistic! I did P90X the month of October and yea, it was hard but the workouts were just too long and I could never get through an entire workout without Keigan crying. So, I decided to try the Insanity workouts because they are a bit shorter (30-40 min with the warm up/cool down) and they kick your ass! No joke, I thought the warm up was part of the workout because they are that long and hard (that's what she said! Ahh, sorry but that was perfect!)!

Before I got pregnant, I was at the gym 5 nights a week for a couple of hours and was really getting into shape and then I found out I had a bun in the oven so my workouts were cut in half. Once the weather got nice, I quit the gym and started walking every day up until I delivered Keigan! I thought since I was so active when I was pregnant that getting back into shape wouldn't be that hard but boy was I wrong! It's so hard to tone back up & they say it gets even harder after each child, yikes!! Im not looking forward to what I'll look like after child #4 ;)

Well, enough with the negative talk. During the workout I just want to lay down and die but as soon as I'm done I feel great! It's kind of addicting, I just need to get my butt off of the couch and get started (that's the hard part)!

(Deliciousness) Lemonade Cheesecake

Who doesn't love a super easy, super good dessert?! I probably have the pickiest husband around and even he loves it! I got this little recipe from my mother in law and we can't get enough of it. Now, this is probably the best dessert for any summer meal and I realize I'm posting it when it's 30 degrees outside but better late than never, right?! :)

Frozen Lemonade Cheesecake:

What you'll need:
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 (8 ounce) comtainer cool whip, thawed
2 (6 ounce) graham cracker crusts

Fold condensed milk and lemonade concentrate into cool whip; spoon evenly into crusts. Cover and freeze pies until firm. Tada! So extremely simple & delicious :)

Three Month Favorites

1.) Wee Gallery Art Cards:
I just got these a couple weeks ago for Keigan and it's safe to say that she LOVES them! I have heard from multiple people that babies like to look at black and white objects and I have been searching high and low for anything black and white for babies and they are hard to find so I went ahead and ordered these from Amazon and they were here in 3 days. Keigan is absolutely fascinated with them.

2.) Medela BreastPump:
Since I have to go back to school full time in January, I have been building my supply up by pumping every morning and freezing it. I started out with a less expensive pump and it was awful. Every time I would pump, I would get scabs and even bleed. I would dread going to that thing every morning. I saw that Target was having a big baby sale and this Medela was on sale so I went ahead and splurged on it and I must say, it was an awesome purchase! Highly recommend everything Medela!! :)

3.) Sassy Rattle:
Keigan is still not playing with her toys yet but she loves to look at this rattle when I play with it. I will put it in her hands and she will grasp onto it on her own and shake it but that's just because she still doesn't have control of her arms ;)

4.) Sophie:
This wins the award for cutest teether/toy EVER! Miss Keigan has started sucking on her hands a good bit this month so I busted out Sophie and let her suck on her ear. She went to town! I can't wait until she can hold onto her on her own!! Best $20 I've spent on a toy! :)

5.) Bumbo:
I put Keigan in this for the first time around 7 weeks and she hateddd it at first. Then we started putting her in it for 5-10 minutes at a time and I think it has helped her sit up and strengthen her neck. She also loves to look around now when she's in it!

6.) Baby Ganics Hand Sanitizer:
Now that we are out in public more, I use this stuff like its my job! I HATE public bathrooms with a passion so when I'm done, I lather this stuff on myself & Keigan. It also smells like oranges, which is my FAV!

7.) Fisher Price Activity Mat:
Keigan spends most of her day laying and playing on this mat. It plays music and lights up and catches her attention for a good 30 minutes or so. I'm sure any mat will do with babies, this is just the one that I liked when we registered :)

Happy 3 Months Babe!
She's telling me how much she loves me in this pic ;)
This is the look I got when I told her I loved her too! What a sweetie <3
She's telling me she loves daddy too!

13 Weeks

This week we had no huge milestones except I do think I heard a very faint giggle the other night when I was getting you undressed for your bath. You were talking and smiling at me and you were getting so excited I think there was a very faint giggle and I tried to get you to do it again but no such luck :( But I'm sure it will be coming very soon!

Momma and daddy had a surprise anniversary party to go to on Saturday night and you stayed with Grammy. When we dropped you off you were talking and in such a good mood and I did NOT want to leave! You are just too cute for words!

You are still sleeping in our room in your Rock N Play. You LOVE that thing! I have tried every day this week to put you in your crib through the day when you fall asleep and as soon as I lay you down you are wide awake and start to fuss! You just aren't ready to sleep in that big crib, which is fine with me! I don't mind hearing you snore and sometimes talk throughout the night :) You are still sleeping 8-9 hour stretches through the night and it's AWESOME! I hear that's pretty good for a breastfed baby :)

I have been trying to work out throughout the day when you take a nap and I swear you don't want me to get back in shape! You let me get about 20 minutes in and then you decide to wail until I pick you up and then you're fine, little stinker! I either have to go to my moms so that she can watch you or I wait until daddy gets home from work so that he can watch you! I think you just like my extra softness when you're laying on me ;) haha!

You are now blowing bubbles and sucking on those hands ALL day long and you are starting to get your clothes drenched in drool! I have never put a bib on you but that looks like it will be changing soon! Let the drooling begin!

You have been the biggest blessing in my life! I can not imagine my life without you! I love you SO much baby girl! Mwah!

How sweet is that smile?! :)

12 Weeks

12 weeks was a big week for you!

You rolled from your belly to your back all on your own! I was so excited that I started yelling, clapping and giving you lots of kisses. I think I scared you at first but then you got the biggest smile on your face, it was the sweetest thing :) I immediatley texted everyone in my phone to share the big news! Talk about one proud mama :)

This week you also started to become obsessed with your hands. You wanted to suck on them like it was your job. Every time I'd see you do that I'd try to give you Sophie because I don't want you to start the habit of sucking on your hands/thumb, plus I love watching you go to town on Sophie's ear :)

Playtime is my favorite part of the day. You are always smiling and kicking around. You try to put everything in your mouth, including my fingers :) You are cooing all the time. I tell you all of the time that you will be a singer with that sweet voice, you definitely don't take after mama and daddy on that one, we are awful singers :)

As always, mama and daddy love you SO much!!!

WARNING: this post is completely random! Enjoy :)

So let me begin by saying I had a horrible day yesterday! Keigan woke up in a bad mood and continued until she went to bed last night! She didn't want to be anywhere but in my arms so that meant I couldn't do anything, including going to the bathroom to pee, without her screaming her head off! Of course it had to be a day where Dave was gone until 9pm so that meant I had NO break. She also wanted to eat every 45 minutes-1 hour. I'm thinking she's going through a growth spurt?! Talk about exhausting..

On a lighter note, I have most of Keigan's Christmas shopping done! I say that now but who am I kidding, I'll be shopping for her up until Christmas Eve! I got her Christmas outfit and OMG can it be Christmas already?! It's seriously the cutest & makes me so happy/excited when I look at it! I had a really hard time finding something that I liked. Everything I was finding was too fancy, too uncomfortable, too big and puffy and just not my style but Baby Gap sure knows what I like :) I wanted something festive, comfortable, adorable and something I would wear! And I have been on the search for something similar for me to wear on Christmas because I love her outfit so much, totally not corny or anything ;)

1-4.) Baby Gap

Keigan had her first BIG & I mean HUGE milestone about an hour ago, she rolled from her belly to her back on her own!!! Talk about one proud mama!!! I started yelling and clapping that I think I scared her at first but then she got a huge smile on her face like she knew she just did something major!!!

& of course I'll leave you with a picture of this cutie :)

A Day in the Life of Keigan

Well 2 1/2 months have passed since Keigan made her grand debut and we finally have a little routine down! She set this routine on her own and right now it works for us. With the holiday activities approaching, I'm sure her schedule will be changing. I will be doing most of my Christmas shopping this year online so that I don't have to take her out in the cold weather and around all of the crazy shoppers!!

6:00 am she wakes up for her first feeding for the day. Since she still sleeps in our room I think she hears Dave get up for work at this time and realizes she's hungry because on the weekends she wakes up around 7:00 (girl loves her sleep!). I change and feed her and she goes back to sleep until about 9:00, right in time for Kelly & Michael :)

After her 9:00 feed, we go to her room to play on her activity mat and I will read her all most of her books (I am o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with children books, like I want to write my own children books one day!). She will do tummy time until she gets tired and cranky. She goes down for a nap around 10 until 11:30 and she's up for more milk :)

Guess How Much I Love You
The Runaway Bunny
Love You Forever

After lunch she sits in her bumbo and we listen to the entire Rockabye Baby Lullaby Renditions of Bon Jovi CD, it rocks!! She will eat around 1:30 and take another nap from 2-4ish. She eats again and then dad comes home from work. He plays with her while I cook dinner. She just lounges in her rock-n-play while we eat. She will take one more nap in the evenings from about 7-8.

We give her a bath around 9:00. I read her a couple bedtime books (my two favorites are below!) and feed her one more time. She usually is asleep by 9:45 and Dave and I are right behind her. It doesn't sound like much but I'm beat by the end of the day!

11 weeks

This week was a very big learning and growing week for you! You were lovin your activity mat this week! We spent an hour in the morning playing on it and you just stared at the lights and all of the toys hanging from it, you couldn't get enough! We did lots of tummy time, too! You are starting to look like superman with your arms and legs in the air! It looks like you are trying so hard to roll over!

You were starting to put things in your mouth if there was something in your hands so I introduced Sophie for the first time! Let me just say, oh my gosh! So adorable! I had to hold it for you but you went to town on her ear!

We also had your first Halloween this week. You made the cutest bumblebee I've ever seen! It made me so excited for all of the bolidays to come and all of the traditions we will be making :)
