45 Weeks

Oops! 44 weeks slipped right past me last week since we week since we were packing and getting ready to leave for the weekend! I'll try to remember what's gone on these last two weeks and incorporate it all into this post :)

You are 45 weeks old today and are a walking/ talking machine! You rarely crawl anymore. Crawling is for the birds when you can walk everywhere! You have made me a nervous wreck since you began walking though. Talk about a heart attack just waiting to happen!

We noticed on Monday that you felt warm and thought it could be due to your upper teeth coming through. Your gums looked a little swollen for a few days and I thought that maybe those top teeth will be making their debut very soon!  Monday and Tuesday you had a high fever (102) but after we gave you some Motrin you were back to normal. Wednesday I saw a tooth starting to poke through so we were right and that's what your fever was from. I hope those babies come through fast because I hate seeing you in pain!

We went on your first little vacation this past weekend. The car ride was 5 hours and it's the longest time you have been in your car seat at one time. I was a little nervous because I had no idea how you'd take being in there for so long.  You did really well only crying for the last hour going down. You were just so ready to get out and move around! We took your pack n' play for you to sleep in and you slept well while we were there, waking up at your normal 7am but you did NOT want to go to sleep, I think you just wanted to stay up and party with us! You gave up the fight around 10-10:30 so by the time we came home you were getting pretty exhausted throughout the day. I was ready for you to be back on schedule :)

You make our days so much brighter! Mommy & daddy love you to pieces!

As you might remember, our kitchen has been in a renovation. It's been quite a long ride but I am so happy with the way it all turned out!

Here are some of the BEFORE pictures of our kitchen.
(it was BAD, we know!!)

These pictures were taken when we moved in a couple years ago!

Here are some pictures DURING the process.

Weekend Recap & Anniversary

This past weekend we packed up and went to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. We were looking forward to some rest and relaxation with our family. It was only a short 5 hour drive so we took our time and headed out around lunch time on Friday. We got down there around 6 Friday evening. After we got checked in, we headed out to grab some pizza and hit up the grocery store to get some unhealthy food for the condo. We didn't get back until 9:30 but Keigan was ready to party (she must have known it was vacation because she didn't go to bed until 10:00-10:30 every night we were there).

When we woke up Saturday morning we washed down our yummy doughnuts with some coffee. It's just something about being on vacation that makes it okay to stuff your face with unhealthy food!  After breakfast the guys & my sister went fishing while my mom, Keigs and I went for a walk up a mountain!. We spent the afternoon at the pool soaking up some rays. Keigan did awesome and was actually loving the water. We spent that evening eating lots of food and drinking lots of alcohol.

Sunday morning was pretty similar to Saturday. We ate more yummy doughnuts and drank more yummy coffee. Perfect Sunday morning in my book. We got ready and headed to the pool once again. Drinking a few cold ones might have been thrown in there too.
When we woke up Monday morning we got the car packed up and before we got on the road we hit up Jimmy John's and Sweet Frog. Umm, talk about delicious!? Overall, we had a wonderful little getaway and were so bummed to come back to reality.

Today marks 3 years of wedded bliss with my hubs. I can't imagine a better man to stand by my side and a better dad to Keigan than Dave. He has impressed me every single day with his daddy duties. He loves his little girl so much and it melts my heart to see.

 I love watching him play with her.
 I love seeing her light up when she hears him come home from work.
 I love watching him light up when he sees her after he gets home from work.
I love how silly and funny he is.
I love that he is so easy going.
I love that he is such a hard worker and provides for his family.
I love how he still looks at me like he did when we first met.
He is overall the best thing (along with Keigan!!) that has ever happened to me.
I am so blessed.

Love you babe!!!

10 Month Check-In

Cheeeese!

I can't believe I have a 10 month old! I feel like I say this every month but really, in just 2 months my baby will be a toddler. It's safe to say that this was one of the most fun and exciting months yet. She started cruising, standing, walking and babbles literally all. day. long.

{Weight}
I would guess close to 17 lbs?? She doesn't go back to the doctor until August for her 1 year check up.

{Health}
This girl is so, so healthy.

{Diet}
We really cut back on her baby food this month. She would only eat about 1/4 of the jar before she threw a fit but as soon as I put something on her tray that she could feed herself she was fine. We started giving her more of what we are eating she so far, so good. This girl LOVES her carbs. A few of her favorites are pancakes, noodles, waffles, bread and graham crackers.

{Crying}
She mainly cries when she is overly tired or if she sees me leave the room she will have a fit. Her separation anxiety is pretty bad with me. Other than that she is a super happy baby.

{Sleep}
Sleep has gotten so much better this month! She sleeps through the night and her naps are getting longer. I think she really wears herself out through the day now that she is constantly getting into things and walking around.

{Social}
On her 10 month birthday we celebrated Dave's first father's day. We went to the Children's Museum and had a steak & chicken dinner for both of our families.

{Routine}
7:00- Wake up, Diaper change and Nurse
8:00am- Breakfast. We usually will eat Cheerios/ Bananas or Waffles/ Blueberries
9:00am- Nap
10:00am- Nurse
11:00am- Play time
12:00pm- Lunch. Turkey lunch meat with bread and pieces of fruit .
1:00pm-Nap
2:00pm- Nurse
3:00-4:00pm- Playtime/ Go for a walk
5:00pm- Dinner. She usually eats whatever we eat
6:00pm- Hang out with Daddy
7:00pm- Nurse/ Cat nap
8:00pm- Bath Time/ Get in PJ's, Nurse
9:00pm- Bed time!

{Milestones}
I feel like I already mentioned these but she started standing on her own, taking steps on her own and cruising. Every day now she is getting up on her own more and more. By the end of the day yesterday  she was doing it without a problem & walking all over the place. Watching her is a full time job now since she is constantly getting into something or walking around. She has already taken a few falls and had one goose egg on her little head. I know there will be plenty more where those came from but it's still heart breaking.

Here are a few pictures from our Father's Day weekend :)

This is her new "Cheese" face, I'm not kidding. Isn't she awesome?! :)

Happy Father's Day Babe!!

43 Weeks

Wow, this week flew by!!! You have been so much fun this week, good moods all day long. I loved it!

You began walking/taking multiple steps (whatever you want to call it) as soon as I posted last weeks update. You are getting better with you balance and can stop walking and balance there for a while. You can stand up from a sitting position all on your own. You started cruising this week, too! Whew, you had a pretty big week missy! You must be exhausted.. ;)

When you aren't walking around, you try getting into Sadie's food & water dish or you crawl over to Sadie's bed and shove your head into the cushion. It's hysterical. You love anything soft on your face.

You stayed with Grammy this past weekend while your dad and I went to a wedding out of town. Grammy said you did awesome and slept well which was good to hear because I was a little nervous since you weren't in your own bed. It was my first night away from you and I hated it. We got up and came straight home because we missed you so bad.
You've been sleeping through the night this week. It has been heaven for everyone. Your naps seem to be getting better too lasting between 45 minutes- 1 hour+.
You have been eating dinner with us this week, you tried beef stroganoff (& couldn't get it in your little mouth fast enough!), spaghetti, rice, potatoes. It's pretty awesome you can eat what we eat now, it makes things so much easier.
I really need to start baby proofing. You can get into any cabinet now and you loveee pulling everything out. I don't usually care if you pull pots and pans out but the glass dishes are a different story...

Well, that's all for this week. Maybe by next week we will have an official walker (since that's all you want to do now)!?

Xoxo,
Momma

First Steps

Keigan has been walking with her walkers for a while now but lately she has been taking steps all on her own. She will stand up, let go of what she's holding onto and take steps. I have been trying to get it on video but it's hard when it's just Dave and I because we are the ones catching her. Last night I went to my moms for dinner (one of the perks of not having a finished kitchen!) and Keigan was walking all night! Every time I see her walk I get a little emotional because I think back to when she was a fresh little newborn and all she did was sleep and cuddle up on chest. Seeing her take steps makes her look so much older than my little 9 1/2 month old baby.

Here's a little video my cousin took of her walking last night. Sorry the quality is terrible, it was recorded on my moms phone and sent to me but you guys will get the point :)

Happy Friday from this sweet little walker!!!! :)

42 Weeks

Oh my, you are 42 weeks old. That means in just 10 very, very short weeks you will be 1 year old! I still can't get over how fast time is flying by.

Let's just face it, you are obsessed with me (& I'm obviously obsessed with you too!). You HATE it when I leave the room even when Daddy is there with you. Last night I walked out of the room to go get a shower (yes, mama has to shower too!) and you started crawling after me with the biggest sad face and lip  curled under I've ever seen. You followed me to the bathroom and sat there while I showered. Considering we are attached at the hip all day, every day I wouldn't expect anything less.

You have been taking steps this week. You want to walk SO bad. You can stand on your own for a while now and last night you took 4-5 steps towards me and balanced yourself when you came to a stop! I started crying. Now, I just got to catch it on video! You are growing up WAY too fast, sweet girl!

You've been sleeping like a rock star this week (& this better not jinx me!). Your naps have been in the 45 min-1 1/2hr range which is amazing!!! I have actually been able to get cleaning and laundry done in a reasonable amount of time :) You sleep soundly until 5:30ish am and sometimes you will fall back asleep until 7, other times you will cry and cry until I feed you then you're back out until 7ish.

We haven't been giving you much baby food this week. You would rather have anything that's on my plate so I've been giving you more and more. So far you haven't turned your nose up to anything I've given you, except the first time I gave you Mac n' cheese, weirdo (who doesn't like mac n' cheese?). The next day, daddy was eating Mac n' cheese and you were all over it.

Your attention span is .2 seconds long and you could care less about any of your toys. You could spend all day taking your lotions and diapers out of the baskets on your changing table but when I put a toy in front of you, you look the other way. I'm always tempted to get you a new toy every time I'm at the store but you really would rather plan with bottles &Sadie's food/water bowls.

Well, that's about it for this week! I love you so much sunshine!!!

Love,
Momma

Life Lately

I feel like I haven't posted about our happenings besides her weekly posts in a while so here we go...

It's wedding season in our house. We had 3 weddings in 5 weeks so our weekends have been pretty booked with bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties and weddings. We have our last wedding for the summer this Friday and it's a kid free reception so little miss will be staying overnight with my mom. First night without her for me. I'm already sad about it.

Our kitchen is almost complete. Hallelujah! It is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to share the final product with you! But here is a little sneak peak :)

This is my current kitchen situation. We ordered our countertops so those should take no more than 2 week.s We are in the home stretch!

Keigan has been chatting and rambling away lately. She always chatted but lately that's all she does all day long. She's been making "mama", "dada", "baba" sounds a lot. Theres been a couple times where it sounds like she straight up says "mama" & "dada". It is the sweetest. I can't get enough!
She LOVES walking with her Radio Flyer walker wagon! She gets so excited, she squeals!

She has not been a fan of her baby food. She would rather feed herself and eat what I'm eating. A couple of her new favorites are waffles, pancakes and graham crackers.

She has the goofiest, cutest little personality I've ever seen. I simply love her.

This girl has the most beautiful set of blue eyes I've ever seen. I fall right in every time she looks at me.
I was talking to Dave after the doctor told us her eye color probably won't change he says, "Oh great, so she's going to be this beautiful for the rest of her life?" Sorry daddy, in about 16 years you will be chasing boy after boy away!

That's all I've got for today. I hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day!!
