17 & 18 Month Update and Everything in Between

Ok, I am officially the worst blogger EVER! If this counts as an excuse, I am student teaching full-time, getting everything in order for graduation in May and a full-time mom and wife when I get home. Every time I would sit down to blog, something would come up. But here I am, 6:24 am writing this blog post. :)
Seriously?! How sweet is she? I can't take it!
SO, SO much has been going on with Keigan these past two months. She loves to read her books, play/torture our dog, slightly obsessed with anything technology ( & no, I am not proud of that one!), could sit and look at pictures on my phone of her all. day. long. and the list can go on and on.
She had her 18 month check-up this morning. She now weighs 21.6 lbs (10%) and is 31 1/4 inches (40%) long. Doctor said she was perfect :)

She still isn't saying any words but she sure talks a lot! I'm going to miss hearing her non-sense gabber when she is talking my ear off in a few years ;) She loves to talk on the phone and I never want to interrupt her because I just love hearing what she has to say.

Keigan is still wearing size 3 diapers and I'm currently switching her over to all 18 month clothing. I had a 12-18 month shirt on her this week and the sleeves were up to her elbows! Oops! ;)

Her favorite foods right now are strawberries, grapes, goldfish, cheerios, breakfast bars, and chicken nuggets. Some days she is really picky and won't eat much of anything and other days, she's like an empty pit and never stops eating. I blame it on her molars working their way through (& veryyyy slowly, might I add)!

She has reduced her naps down to once a day. She did this all on her own. When I was off from school over Christmas break, she would start staying awake a little longer in the mornings and would lay down around 11 or 12 and take one long 1 1/2 nap and then stay awake until her bedtime. She is still going to bed around 8:30 and waking up at 6:45am.

Her separation anxiety is definitely worse this semester when I leave her with her babysitters (which is Dave's grandparents and my aunt). My heart breaks when she is hysterically crying and reaching for me when I walk out of the door. But they will always tell me when I pick her up that she only cried for a few minutes and was fine the rest of the day.

Who really wants to leave this girl, ever?!
The girl is obsessed with brushing her teeth! I swear she would do it all day if we let her. She throws a tantrum every time I take it away from her.  That's another thing she has picked up recently is tantrums. If she doesn't get her way, she screams and has this evil look in her eye and will either come and try to hit me or hit anything that is around her. Those times are glorious ;)

This winter for us has been AWFUL! Most of the time, I can handle a few snowy months because I do enjoy our four seasons around here but this winter has been taking a toll on me. January and February have been nothing but awful! So gloomy and we haven't seen grass in two months. It's been snow storm after snow storm. This cold weather I think is hard on everyone in the house (the dog included! She loves her walks!) and we are longing for warm sunshine!!
