30 Week Update

How far along: 30 weeks

Gender: BOY!

Weight gain: +16 lbs

Maternity clothes: A few things here and there but I try to live in my t-shirts and lounge pants most days.

Stretch marks: Nope

Belly button in or out: Outie

Sleep: My sleep hasn’t been bad when I get it… we switched Keigan into her toddler bed this week so she’s been getting up throughout the night most nights and I go in to soothe her back to sleep so after she’s asleep, I’m wide awake. Go figure.

Best moment this week: I did baby boy’s first load of laundry and got his room semi set up!!! I love walking by his room and seeing all of his little stuff in there! :)

Miss anything: Feeling normal?  I tried painting my toes this week and it was pure torture. I can’t bend over that long without getting totally uncomfortable.

Movement: I swear he is doing flips in there. I know that he is running out of space so I’m sure that’s why I’m feeling so much movement going on now!

Cravings: Still loving my chips and french onion dip this week and I’m also on a peach lemonade kick. Can’t get enough of it!

Symptoms: Round ligament pain and pure exhaustion.

Looking forward to: It’s Labor Day weekend and the kickoff to college football! I’ll be cheering on those Mountaineers tomorrow!

29 Week Update

How far along: 29 Weeks

Gender: BOY!

Weight gain: +15 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yep, totally looking forward to some cooler weather so I can wear leggings and sweatshirts every day :)

Stretch marks: Nope

Belly button in or out: Outie all the way! Dave said he can even see it through all of my shirts now! Haha!

Sleep: I have to say this week has been better than previous weeks.

Best moment this week: Our Ikea and Home Goods trip this past weekend to get baby boy’s dresser and little items for his room was fun!

Miss anything: My energy. This week I’ve been feeling really lazy, I don’t know if it’s our rainy weather that is doing it or the fact that he is taking more of my energy but I’d like to have some of that back!!

Movement: Lots and lots of jabs to the ribs but I love feeling this little guy move all the time!

Cravings: Chips with French onion dip and fudge rounds were the two things I wanted this week!

Symptoms: Round ligament pain and I’ve also been getting more leg and foot cramps that really suck!

Looking forward to: We have no plans this weekend which is a nice change so I hope we can get more done in the nursery and I also have my 30 week check-up on Monday! Always look forward to my baby appointments!

My Girl is TWO!

This past Saturday, Keigan turned two years old. I am still shocked at how fast these past two years have gone by. She is the light of our lives and can not imagine how we lived without her. She is so full of energy, so full of sass and so full of love! The girl has NO fear of anything, climbs anything and everything, loves Sofia the First, Bubble Guppies and just recently will watch Monsters Inc. on repeat! She doesn't talk much but she is slowly coming around and will "try" to say what we want her to but most of the time doesn't come out right.

We had a Princess Sofia themed birthday party for her Saturday. I can say that she had a great time and even passed out before her guests even left! She was such a little busy bee and didn't want to sit down to eat or open her gifts but my friends 3 year old niece helped so that gives me hope that next year Keigan will be all about her gifts :)

Here are a few pictures from her big day!!

She had her 2 year well check-up this morning and she is weighing in at 25lbs (26th %) and is 34 3/4 inches long (75th %). The doctor was pleased with her and said she's doing really well but mentioned seeing a speech therapist because of her delay. I was expecting they would suggest it and i would like to get the ball rolling with her talking. She has the sweetest little voice and I can't wait for her to start talking more and more.

Doctor's office selfies to send to Daddy :)

She is still wearing size 3 diapers but after this pack is gone, we will move up to size 4! Her clothes are generally 24 months or 2T now but her pants are still 18-24 months.

We are going to be switching her room into a toddler room very, very soon! Our plan is to get her in a toddler bed in enough time to get used to it before her little brother comes along. I may start the switch this weekend! I'm so nervous for this change! Wish us luck!

Happy 2 years baby girl!

28 Week Update

How far along: 28 Weeks

Gender: Little boy

Weight gain: +15 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yes, yes, yes!!

Stretch marks: Nope

Belly button in or out: Out, you can totally see it with any shirt I have on now (even with a cami on underneath!!)

Sleep: What sleep? It’s awful, just awful.

Best moment this week: We got the carpet installed in the nursery and it looks so good! I also had a doctor appointment and he’s measuring right on target and has a strong heartbeat. It’s also mine and Keigan’s birthday week! Like I said last week, we had a lot of fun stuff to look forward to!

Miss anything: Sleeping, bending down and not getting out of breath and Sam Adams Octoberfest beer!

Movement: SO much movement going on! He’s such an active little guy already! I wonder if this is a preview for what he’ll be like when he’s here with us?

Cravings: I find myself always thinking of Milky Ways. I’m usually a Snickers girl but lately I can’t get enough of those mini Milky Ways.

Symptoms: I’ve been SO tired lately but I think that has to do with my poor sleeping habits. I also have been getting a lot of round ligament pain when I’m walking and doing something active.

Looking forward to: Keigan’s birthday party on Saturday and getting more done in the nursery!!

27 Week Update

How far along: 27 Weeks

Gender: Boy

Weight gain: +13 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yep, and I’m loving them at this point. They are the most comfortable items to wear although I’d love to be able to fit into my normal wardrobe only because I’m getting tired of wearing the same clothes all the time!

Stretch marks: Nope, been lathering on cocoa butter. Hopefully it does the trick and keeps them far away.

Belly button in or out: Totally out

Sleep: What sleep? It’s been miserable this week. I can’t get comfortable for the life of me and I wake up soaked in sweat every night. I'd say sleep has been my #1 complaint this pregnancy!

Best moment this week: Getting more work done in the nursery! Almost done with the big stuff so then I can start decorating and organizing!!

Miss anything: Being able to bend down without getting out of breath would be nice. And sleep, of course!

Movement: All day, every day. So many kicks and jabs but I love every one of them :)

Cravings: Still a big fan of BBQ, chocolate, and ice cold Coke!

Symptoms: Lately I've been getting lower back pain, leg cramps and this week I started noticing some Braxton Hicks when I've been walking. They've been bad enough that I have to stop and breathe until they go away. I may have to start slowing down my walks to see if that helps!

Looking forward to: This week! We have carpet getting installed in the nursery, my 28W check-up, my birthday AND Keigan’s birthday all in one week! Lots of fun stuff to look forward to!!

26 Week Update

How far along: 26 weeks!

Gender: Boy

Weight gain: 13 lbs

Maternity clothes: I just bought capris and jeans for the fall this week!! I hope I can pull off some of my old shirts with cardigans and sweaters because some of that stuff is expensive! I'd rather spend that money on stuff for the baby!

Stretch marks: Nope

Belly button in or out: Totally out at this point

Sleep: I thought I did the trick with switching out my pillow and I do still love my new pillow but I still have very restless nights and can not seem to get comfortable for the life of me! I can’t say this enough, I can’t wait until I can sleep on my stomach again!

Best moment this week: I had my 26 week check-up and my glucose test which I didn’t hear anything back from my doctor so I take it that I passed!!

Miss anything: Other than sleeping on my stomach, having more energy, feeling like a stuffed pig, and maybe an ice cold beer, nope ;)

Movement: Lots and lots of squirming around! I love every movement, except for the swift kicks to the ribs every now and then!

Cravings: Chips and dips, BBQ flavored anything, and I did make Dave go to the store this week because I really wanted a Coke.

Queasy or sick: Not sick but I did notice my back has been so achy by the end of the day and sometimes cramps up. I do get back rubs every night though that I am not complaining about! ;)

Looking forward to: It’s August which means its mine and Keigan’s birthday month!! Where in the heck did summer go?! Cam will be here before we know it!
